Brown receives 2020 APPA Sustainability Innovation Award

Brown's roadmap for eliminating campus GHG emissions by 2040 has earned the university recognition from the APPA: Leadership in Educational Facilities.

Brown received the 2020 APPA Sustainability Innovation Award for its decarbonization plan. APPA is an international association of facilities management professionals from over 1,300 educational institutions. The Sustainability Innovation Award is given to “institutions that have implemented a significant or transformative program and/or processes that enhance service delivery, lower costs, create a green and/or sustainable environment, or otherwise benefit the educational institution supporting student success and environmental stewardship.”
