Sustainability and Resiliency

Get Involved

The responsibility for creating a more sustainable campus is shared by everyone at Brown.

There is much that can be done in the course of people's daily lives that can make a positive difference for the environment, from properly disposing of waste and powering off devices when not in use to making sustainable choices in what we eat. Here are some of the ways in which all members of the Brown community can play a part in achieving our sustainability goals.

Living Sustainably

Find your mission

Brown is home to numerous sustainability-focused student groups that address issues from environmental justice to sustainable transportation. Volunteer opportunities are available on campus and in the greater community. Internships in the Office of Sustainability can provide a head start in developing professional skills needed for careers in the sustainability field.

From composting to climate change, poetry to policy, there is a student group at Brown that can inspire your environmental enthusiasm.
