Sustainability and Resiliency

Sustainability Internship Program

Office of Sustainability internships provide students with hands-on experience in the field of sustainability while helping Brown achieve its sustainability goals.

Interns’ work focuses on sustainability-related topics, including recycling, compost, sustainable transportation, food waste and green tour options. The internship program is an opportunity for students to:

  • Develop as sustainability leaders and benefit from career-readiness resources and experiences
  • Enhance sustainability operations on campus through living-lab experiences
  • Create sustainability-related educational opportunities for the Brown community
To apply to the Sustainability Internship Program, students should check for openings and then submit a resume and cover letter describing their interest.
The Office of Sustainability & Resiliency interns are an enthusiastic group of Brown University undergraduate and graduate students.

One aspect of this internship that has particularly pushed me to grow was learning to confidently speak during meetings and presentations with upper-level administrators about different facets of sustainability within Brown's campus.
