Established in 2007, the Ivy Plus Sustainability Consortium was formed with a goal of driving higher education to excellence in global sustainability solutions and leveraging collective leadership and resources to advance sustainability in higher education and beyond.
Since 2007, the consortium’s efforts have been critical in leading bold, thoughtful and meaningful action for sustainability across the member campuses. These actions include significant reductions in greenhouse gas emissions, increased student and faculty engagement in campus as a living lab and improved institutional operations.
The consortium holds annual meetings focused on current sustainability trends and on the important role sustainability plays in its member institutions’ operations. The annual meeting also provides member institutions with the opportunity to identify how the group can become much greater than the sum of its parts.
